Following a move to larger premises in Queen Anne Battery in 2018, South West regional contractor Pollard hosted a reception at the nearby Royal Yacht Club in February, attended by guests representing leading client and construction professionals in the region.

Welcoming the guests, Pollard Managing Director Bill Badham said

“The strategic decision to open an office in Plymouth four years ago has proved to be very successful. We enter the new financial year with a healthy workload of which over 60% is located within Devon.”

“Several of the projects currently on site feature local clients and consultants which is particularly pleasing as it demonstrates the confidence many of you in this room have in our ability to deliver. We very much look forward to developing those relationships further and growing our business in the region.”

“I also want to take this opportunity to thank all our team in the region as it is their hard work, dedication and skill which makes our growth possible”

Notable current projects include a 73 apartment building at Mount Wise having completed the previous phase last year, a 120 bed student accommodation project in Exeter for Galliard Homes, the redevelopment of Ivybridge Leisure Centre for Fusion Leisure and a conversion of a listed church into a community facility in Newton Abbot.

During the course of the evening a cheque presentation of over £3600 was made to the Plymouth based charity Friends and Families, money raised by Pollard staff at the company’s Christmas party. The Plymouth based charity provide vital support to families in the region with disabled children. Further information can be found on their web site
