Leading South West contractor, Pollard, has been awarded the contract to build a new care home at Hillside Gardens, Pinhoe for Exeter Care Developments Ltd. To mark the beginning of the works, a ground breaking ceremony has been held attended by key members of the team.

The project forms part of a wider masterplan at Old Park Farm including a major residential, retail and business development.
Pollard Business Development Director, Hugh Dalton said “We are very pleased to have been appointed to undertake this very important facility which will provide much needed high quality care accommodation. The development is also very important to the regional economy both in terms of long term employment opportunities and during construction as we will be using our knowledge of the local supply chain to deliver the build.”
Exeter Care Developments Property Director Gary Renton said “As the latest edition to our growing portfolio of residential care homes, Alexander House represents a major investment for us. When complete the new home will boost the provision of quality care for people in the Exeter area and beyond, as a well as creating jobs for local people.
We take great pride in the build quality, layout and design of each individual home, not least because these are all very important factors which can greatly impact on the everyday experiences of those living in a care environment. The new home will live up to these standards and include facilities such as en suite wet rooms, café, salon, cinema, private dining and sensory rooms along with private patio areas and landscaped gardens. It will undoubtedly provide a quality home for those who need care in the area.”
