BLAKE JOINERY CELEBRATES 30TH ANNIVERSARY
Specialist joinery manufacturer, Blake Joinery, has reached a significant milestone by this year celebrating its 30th anniversary.
The Bridgwater based company, part of the Pollard Group of companies, is a leading manufacturer of bespoke joinery. From its workshop the business manufactures a range of products including specialist fittings, bars and counters, reception desks and windows in both softwood and hardwood. Supplying a range of clients throughout the UK from national and regional contractors to individuals, the quality of its service has seen the business deliver a turnover of just over £1m for each last three years. In its 30th year the company will see this grow further, with turnover set to reach £1.35m.
Blake has and continues to invest greatly in its workforce which has seen a large proportion of the joiners come through the company training scheme with many starting out as apprentices. Currently the company employs one apprentice and will take on a further apprentice this autumn.
General Manager Ben Williams said:
“Having been with the company for almost 15 years, I am delighted to see how the business has developed into being one of the largest in its field and the company of choice for bespoke joinery by some of the largest contractors within the construction industry. To have reached this anniversary and to see our turnover grow, demonstrates the quality of the work that we produce.”
Bill Badham, Pollard’s Managing Director also commented by saying:
“It has been fantastic to see how the company has grown into being arguably the leading bespoke joinery business in the South West. The team Ben leads are highly skilled and dedicated and our key to our success. They continue to produce outstanding results and I look forward to seeing Blake grow from strength to strength over the coming years.”
