FIRST PHASE OF LAUNCESTON MEDICAL CENTRE HANDED OVER TO GREAT ACCLAIM

A key milestone in the expansion of Launceston Medical Centre has been reached with the handover of the first phase.

The new build element of the development has seen the construction of a two storey extension which provides ten new consulting rooms, training facilities and staff meeting rooms. The completion of this phase has already had a tremendously positive impact, with the Practice Manager Andrew Yardley, thanking the efforts of the whole team.

“I wanted to pass on all the brilliant feedback I have received over the past few days since we have started to use the new building. The building has exceeded everybody’s expectations and even the splashbacks in the kitchen are a big hit!

I can’t begin to explain what this new space means to our team in terms of morale and enabling our clinical team to provide an improved service to our Patients. The past few months have been the most challenging I have ever seen in the NHS and during this time you have built a fantastic building that has already made such a difference.

I know the past few weeks have not been without its challenges but I wanted to let you know the net outcome is a seamless transition for our team who are all having an exciting week whilst we move into the new building.em>

I would personally like to thank you all for your continued expertise, patience and flexibility. I have a lot of faith in all of you and I think you can all feel extremely proud of what you have achieved so far.”

Works on the second phase is now well advanced involving the refurbishment of the existing centre together with new car park layout and external works.
